Abstract

Descriptive geometry is essential in engineering education, supporting spatial reasoning and problem-solving through projections. Many students, however, find it difficult to interpret orthographic views and reconstruct 3D objects from 2D drawings. Advances in artificial intelligence have introduced visualization tools that generate interactive models and provide real-time feedback during modeling. This paper examines the role of AI-assisted visualization in teaching descriptive geometry and its educational impact. It analyzes how these tools can enhance spatial understanding while preserving core skills such as manual construction and geometric reasoning. The results indicate that integrating AI-based visualization with traditional methods improves conceptual understanding, reduces interpretation errors, and increases student engagement.
