Abstract

This paper aims to analyse turbofan engines from an eco-design point of view, so that this study can highlight their future in a world based on design with as little impact on the environment as possible, as well as on people. In order to achieve this objective, we will analyse both their evolution, their impact throughout the product life cycle and improvement solutions both achieved in the past and potential solutions that can be implemented in the future.
