Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of the automatic drawing generation feature in Fusion 360, focusing on dimensioning accuracy and standards compliance. Four CAD models of varying complexity were evaluated using the platform’s built-in tool for auto-generated 2D technical drawings. The study assesses the completeness, clarity, and limitations of the resulting dimensions in accordance with ISO 128-1 and ASME Y14.5 standards. Results reveal consistent gaps in functional coverage and highlight areas for improvement in automated dimensioning systems.
