CONSIDERATIONS UPON THE TEACHING OF RULED SURFACES WITH DIRECTOR PLANE
Keywords:
ruled surfaces with director plane, the Viviani Conoid, the Plücker Conoid, conoid intersections, the Kuper ConoidAbstract
This paper presents the manner of teaching, developing and continuously improving the chapter called “Ruled Surfaces with a Director Plane” taught to first-year students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Cluj-Napoca. The aim of this effort lies in making undergraduates familiar with the representation of various types of surfaces, while also developing the ability of space sight and stimulating creativity.
